Hunting Alaska Caribou unguided is for the experienced hunter who wishes to act as his / her own hunting guide and needs very little assistance in the wilderness. Non-resident self guided hunters do not require a registered Alaska guide to hunt Moose, Caribou and Black Bear. However, non-resident Aliens must have an Alaskan guide for all species of big game in Alaska. The Mulchatna Caribou herd provides the largest barren ground caribou in the world and you can hunt them non-guided from a drop camp. For an unguided fly-in, drop off float hunt Caribou hunt, it is recommended: 7 - 10 days. Good physical conditioning can enhance your opportunity of success. Prices include: Air charter to the hunting area and return for you and your big game, scouting all areas ahead of time to ensure the presence of game and assistance in obtaining lodging at both ends of your trip.
