Guaranteed Outfitters Tags: Oregon enacted a Guides and Outfitter program a few years ago which supplies guides and outfitters the prospect of selling non-resident tags. These tags, which are twice the price of a general tag, are drawn by the individual Guide or Outfitter, whom has been certified by the Oregon State Marine Board. The number of tags available is equal to half of the non-resident tags drawn from the previous year.
General Season Tags: General season tags are considered "over the counter" tags and are used only during the "General Season" for a given unit. Some units have both a Controlled Hunt Season and a General Hunt Season, however the General Season Tag may only be used during the units General Season.
All rifle elk hunts are controlled hunts. Hunt applications are due into the state offices by May 15th.

Our deluxe-guided Elk camps provide: All camp equipment, food, and guides so you
can concentrate on your elk hunt. Just bring your weapon and personal gear.
Oregon elk hunting guides have years of hunting experience in the units they
guide in.
Drop Camps
For the do-it-yourselfer group, this is the ideal trip. You will be packed
with your personal gear, food and camping equipment to a well-scouted,
predetermined area. Or, you can choose a supplied camp, when we will provide
comfortable, quality camp equipment, just bring your personal gear and food.
Each person is provided with one pack animal, which can carry 125 lbs. We'll
pack you out, including any game taken. Minimum of three hunters for a drop
camp.
