The whitewater action begins just a half-mile downstream from the put-in with Bloomer Falls... What follows is miles of non-stop action with Lewis Falls, The Maze, Tercel Turn, and Airplane. Our first scout of the day is Cascade - a choice of a 400 yard boulder garden or a 15-foot waterfall. This is all before lunch. Later as the granite walls narrow above us we continue our descent into a California Salmon River whitewater paradise.

Rafting the California Salmon River, in the remote northern mountains of California, is one of the most challenging rivers to run in the spring. With no dams to impound it, the winter snow-melt cascades through the Trinity Alps and Marble Mountains forming the Salmon River.
